What Veil does
- Exposure scan
- Checks people-search sites for your listings and checks your email address against known data breaches.
- Removal requests
- Sends opt-out requests to the sites that list you and tracks their progress.
- Spam call blocking
- Screens incoming calls to your real phone number and blocks known spam.
- Private number
- A separate phone number with voicemail that you can give out instead of your real one. Calls and texts are forwarded to you.
- VPN
- Encrypts your connection on public and untrusted networks.
Each feature can be turned on or off in the app. Veil is a paid subscription, billed through Google Play.
Texts from Veil
If you turn on text forwarding for your private number, Veil forwards texts that people send to that number to your real phone. You choose whether forwarding is on in the app, and you can turn it off at any time.
Reply STOP to stop receiving forwarded texts, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency depends on how many texts your private number receives.
We do not share your mobile number or your consent to receive texts with third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for details.
